Jess and Matt’s Antebellum Oaks Wedding in Austin, TX gave me a taste of what it’s like to shoot weddings outside of New England and lets just say, I’m moving to Texas. No, not really… but I am insanely jealous of the photographers who live there and work with this light and warm temperatures year round. My job would be a lot easier without “the trees are dead sticks” and “everything is muddy” season. But I digress!
I was blown away when I arrived at this Antebellum Oaks wedding. I love shooting in bright sun so this was a dream. Jess’s Theia dress was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The beading and Gatsby vibe suited her perfectly. I loved that they both got ready at their venue, so I was able to bounce back and forth between the bride and groom as they prepared for their big moment. I stole Matt aside for a few getting ready photos, where he revealed just how nervous he was and how he couldn’t wait to see his bride. Moments like this tug on my heartstrings and remind me how special it is be a part of your wedding day.
You might remember these two from their engagement session in Chicago and now I have the pleasure of sharing their wedding photos with you. Keep scrolling to see their emotional ceremony, the joy and laugher of their bridal party, and the most beautiful sun-filled portraits.
The entire day was brought together by Kristy at Eclipse Event Co. She did an incredible job. She was present from start to finish and put in so much time and energy. Thank you!
